Astro*Carto*Graphy® Locality Reading

This detailed report zooms in on three locations of your choice, and describes the psychological and practical conditions you are likely to encounter. Each reading is a different length, but you can expect about 20 pages.

This program represents the culmination of Jim Lewis's work in locational astrology. It considers the primary natal lines (angular), the transiting (outer planets) and progressed (inner planets) lines, and zenith points, and latitudes of crossings. Jim included a large number of rules in the program to decide which lines were significant and which weren't. He tried to make the program read the chart as he would, and in analyzing many computer readings he felt he had come very close to succeeding.

Each report must do three and only three locations. Many people ask us: what locations should I choose? While it is hard to give an answer that will suit everyone, usually your birthplace (or where you grew up), your current residence, and perhaps a location where you traveled for school, business, or vacation. Maybe there is a place you have often thought of moving  to. In any case, it is important to realize that the closer two locations are to each other, the more likely the reading will be the same for both of them. We recommend that you choose locations that are at least 300 miles apart.

The report uses a specific date to compute the current transiting and progressed lines. For most of the planets, the report reading does not change over a period of about a year in spite of the motion of the progressed and transiting planets.  In order to make sure that this annual period is all in the future, we compute the transits six months ahead of the current date. Some planets, such as Jupiter, can move significantly in just a few months. So if the exact timing of the report is important to you, remember that the report is based on a date six months ahead of the start date you specify.
