Celestial Influences 2008 by Jim Maynard Jim Maynard’s Celestial Calendars are simple enough in layout and terminology that anyone can use them without any specific astrological knowledge. Yet, they are complete enough that even a professional astrologer would find it hard to think of any important astrological transit information that is missing. Some of the features are just plain fun: famous personality birthdays, and planets visible in the morning and evening sky. Others challenge the mathematician in us, such as daily ephemeris listings. If you ever wanted to learn about astrology in less than 60 seconds per day, here is the way: put Celestial Influences on the wall and check it out each morning before going to work! Complete with a general introduction to astrology, the calendar presents basic astrological events in a clear, nontechnical manner, with a full explanation of glyphs and special notations. Celestial Influences is designed to be hung on a wall (everything related to a single month is presented on two facing pages). There are two editions: Eastern Time Zone and Pacific Time Zone. These refer to the time zone assumed by all event times. In other words, the times in the two editions are 3 hours apart. Detail from 2007 Celestial Influences
